Reports, proceedings of meetings, and other miscellaneous records of the National Security Telecommunications Advisory Committee [NSTAC], its Industry Executive Subcommittee [IES], and working groups. NSTAC was formed on September 13, 1982 under President Reagan's Executive Order 12382, to provide advice and technical information on telecommunications issues related to national security policies and systems, particularly concerning emergency preparedness and maintenance of functioning telecommunications after a catastrophic event or attack. NSTAC was made up of CEOs of major telecommunications concerns, including MCI, as well as manufacturers, common carriers, and major industrial telecommunications users.
